Temporary Permit for Foreign Amateurs

PARA assists members in their licensing paper work. We do encourage you to be a Lifetime Member, which is available at P5,000 or you may opt for a January to December membership of the current year for P500.

Do plan ahead. A lead time of two months is prudent.

Requirements

1. Scanned copy of your passport, clearly showing your photo and name/signature
2. Passport type photographs, 1" x 1" - 3 pcs color
3. Certification of good moral character issued by your Embassy, or other dignitary such as Police or Reverend
4. Information Sheet, duly notarized in the Philippines, and License Application Form duly filled up
5.

Scanned copy of your valid Amateur License showing your name, call sign, date of expiration, license class. Provide a translation of your license in English, as the case may be.

6. Address or exact location of the place where you will operate in the Philippines
7. Serial numbers, models and frequency ranges of all transceivers you are going to use or import


Class A foreign license holders are usually given a 100W power limit on the temporary permit.

If you are going to settle down in the Philippines, we do encourage you to take the appropriate NTC exam.

The following are the fees that will be collected (do coordinate with the PARA Secretariat for suggestions on how to send the fees)

Fees

1. Filing Fee for Class A – P180.00, Class B – P192.00, Class C - P204.00
2.

Permit to Possess – P60, plus P50 per unit (The Permit to Operate will also serve as a Permit to Possess)

3. Notary Public (Information Sheet) - P120.00 (Must be notarized in the Philippines)
4. Documentary Stamp  - P15.00
5. PARA Service Charge - P300.00
6. PARA Endorsement    - P200.00
7. PARA Membership Fee for January to December of the current year - P500.00 or, should you wish, and we do appreciate it, Lifetime Membership Fee of P5,000.00
8. You may pick up the temporary permit at the PARA office or we can send it to you via courier, shipping charge shall be for your account.


Please ensure that you always obtain a receipt for any transactions with PARA.

We would also like to encourage you to join a regular radio club affiliated to PARA so that you will be exposed to the local customs and traditions of Philippine amateur radio. Please refer to the Affiliated Clubs page for more details.
